Mid-Summer ONLINE 2022 JPEG
And mid-summer greetings to you all. I'm gearing up to get busy once more and extend a big invitation to you to join me for some virtual and live music in the coming weeks...starting with the latest in the very occasional but always earnest online event shown above, a Thursday night of all things.
Who books these things?? Oh.
JULY 21 ~ 7:30 PM ~ on Zoom, Facebook Live, Youtube Live
Zoom Meeting ID: 841 2276 0802 ~ Passcode: 280497

Then it's on to the 24th annual (and first in-person) SummerSongs songwriting camp in Stony Point, NY, a week of all-levels classes on music, creativity, and community! Our first together since 2019.
There's still time to join us.
July 24-30

The morning it ends, I head to Poughkeepsie to return to the warm embrace of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild, a sponsor for whom I've played often, going all the way back to 2001. This will be their first live event since the pandemic hit, and we can't wait...if you're anywhere near Poughkeepsie that night...
July 30 ~ 7:30 PM

The next morning, I'm honored to be the guest speaker at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, NY. It's my sermon-in-song called "Living in Harmony: Easier Sung Than Done".
July 31 ~ 10:30 AM

More? At 4 PM that Sunday afternoon I pull out my guitar and piano at the Middleburgh Public Library for Sonny Ochs and the "Not So Quiet" concert Series. Sonny is a beloved friend of many years and the sister of the late great Phil Ochs. I'll revisit a couple of Phil's great songs for this one.
July 31 ~ 4 PM

And I think I've finally got my August-in-North Carolina straight - there have been some switcheroos in the dates and times over these last few newsletters, but I believe it's listed correctly below, finally!
I have an open night on Monday, August 15th if you've got a house and a bunch of friends in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro areas - or elsewhere if I can get there! davidrothmusic@gmail.com
